The alert for the portuguese coast was designed to account for both wave heights and circulation water levels (accounting for tides and storm surges). It is supported by the Portuguese Shelf Wave Forecast (link das ondas regionais) and the Regional Tide and Surge Forecast (link correspondente). A bulletin is available here that provides the inundation risk level, based on virtual sensors located on the North, Center and South coast.
